Alexis Knopp, Stage and Special Effects Makeup Instructor

Alexis has been a makeup artist in the Puyallup/Tacoma area for the past six years. She got her start in theatrical makeup when she was in high school and she was given the opportunity to do character makeup for Shrek the Musical. From there she transitioned to beauty doing makeup for local student’s dances and events until she found she could merge the two mediums together creating art and images using paint and the human body. Alexis loves working with people and whist she peruses makeup she works primarily in healthcare, currently managing a local optometry clinic in Tacoma. This is Alexis’s very second coloration with Lakewood Playhouse and she’s excited to be a part of the family.
