Teen IMPROV!
Grades 5th-12th (8 weeks) Tuition: $125 Dates: Saturdays April 1st-May 20th 12:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m. Location: In person* Instructor: GBYR (Go Before You're Ready): Bjorn Sorenson and Salvatore Frattallone Description: GBYR Improv Foundations - Come and learn about the art of improvised performance! Spontaneously generated theatre is a challenging and engaging way to build confidence, sharpen your mind, and have a good time. If you are new to the performing arts, improv is a great way to try it out! Your teachers, Bjorn Sorenson and Sal Frattallone, are both practicing improv artists in the Tacoma area and bring their unique expertise to create a fun and engaging class! There will be an opportunity for the class to put on a live, improvised performance on the LPH stage toward the end of the class session. Improv Foundations is ideal for true beginners to improv and/or live performance. It is also great for actors who have a background in being on stage, but would like to learn some new skills. In this class, you learn the basic rules of improv, how to affirm yourself and others, make statements and decisions on the spot, and adopt the attitude we all associate with improv... "Yes, and..." *COVID-19 SAFETY NOTE: At this time, we are anticipating that we will be able to meet in person, safely. If this changes and Public Safety Protocols dictate that we must meet either in a hybrid form or completely online, we will notify you of this change immediately. |
