Winter 2022 COVID Safety Protocols
ALL LIT FACULTY AND STAFF ARE FULLY VACCINATED

At the time of arrival:
During class:
At the time of pick-up:
- All faculty and staff will have their temperature checked at the time of arrival before students arrive.
- Parents and students will park, then line up outside the door with 6' distance between groups.
- A LIT staff member will address the parent (or student over the age of 14) at the door.
- A COVID questionnaire will be asked.
- Temperature of the student will be taken.
- Each set will be allowed in one at a time, and the parent (or student if allowed) will sign the student in.
- All faculty, staff, and students will use hand sanitizer at the time of check-in/arrival.
During class:
- Everyone will remain masked at all times.
- If weather and temperatures allow, doors will be kept open for air flow.
- Bathrooms will sanitized before and after each use.
- Students will only be able to use the bathroom one at a time.
- Students will be seated throughout the theatre or 2nd rehearsal space with 6' between them, of have marked spaces on the stage for them to stand/sit.
- All blocking will maintain 3' between actors, and there will be no physical contact.
- Those coming from the same household may sit/stand together.
At the time of pick-up:
- Parents will line up outside, with 6' distancing.
- They will be met at the door by a LIT staff member one at a time.
- The LIT staff member will call the student to the door, and the student is signed out.
As time progresses and Pierce County/Washington State updates mandates and guidelines, we will update our protocols based on recommendations by the CDC and the Public Health Department.
The Director of Education (Deborah L Armstrong) has enrolled in the CCO Certificate & COVID Safety Training course to become a COVID Compliance Officer and is educated as a responsible team member during the pandemic.
